Beautiful Rainy Day

Many people complain about the rain. Except for the farmers. They love the rain. People will often say that is because they do not have to work in the rain and can take a day off. Not true. Actually, farmers love the rain because it is good for their crops. The crops need rain in order to grow. This puts food on our tables.

You see, it is all in the attitude that you bring to the table. You can either sulk and despise because you don't like to get wet, or you can embrace the rain and smile your way through the day. Bill Wolsfeld and I have been friends for many years. I tell him, "It's raining today. Looks like we are going to be ducks on the water today." Bill will slightly shrug and respond, "That is one way to look at it."

Two different types of vision. Bill is a great guy, but working for Wheaton College for so many years, doing the maintenance (getting fields ready and all), Bill has had his fair share of rainy days. So we give him a break and let him stay inside on rainy days. For me, it doesn't matter if it is raining or sunshine. Of course I prefer the cooler moist air after it rains than I do the hot sun.

Which translate into today. No word yet from any agent for a couple days now. However, I am keeping busy by trying to market the book a little so that people will get excited and can't wait for the release date. Two, three and four months is a long time to wait and people may put the book in the back of their mind. We want to keep Svenska Handelsbanken fresh so that when it does release, people will be excited. We do that with videos, posts and this blog. Created a great video today that we posted on facebook. Many more to come, but at the same time, I need to get back to writing and editing. Books two and three need to be edited and I need to start writing book four. As we wait for an agent, now is the time to get back to editing and writing. After all, what would a series be without... "The Next Book?" :)
