Great News: Book Signing on November 18th!
For the life of me though, I just can't seem to get anyone, and I mean ANYONE, to share my posts. Trying to get people to website is working ok, but when I post to Facebook, even people (FRIENDS) who are in the book, do not even share the post. This post picture is what I posted ten hours ago. There have been one person to comment, two to like, love etc, but the only person to share is myself in my other profile. Even that post I just can't seem to get anyone to share.
With that said, I purposefully waited an hour and then edited it in a way where I tagged 100 people. Now the best part is, it goes on their Facebook page as a post where they were tagged. However, only people who actually go to their page are going to see it. If they share the post, then all of their followers see the post. Otherwise, only a few may see it.
I can see myself losing many a friends soon. We have over 900 friends at the moment, but most of them only care that we check out their "website" or what they are doing. We have only 47 followers, but how many of those are actually support for the book? My biggest disappointment, is that friends who are in the book, do not even share the posts. It is what it is I guess. Hoping all the hard work we have put in to promote the book pays off.
We were scheduled to print 250 books. However, with so many people already telling me the want the book, I would hate to run out of books before Christmas. Imagine running out books December 10th, and takes D&R Press two weeks to get us more. Although I do not necessarily foresee that happening, it very well could. Now if we run out of 500 books, I must say I would not be complaining. That amount of books would be a good thing to run out of.
At $19.99, some people may look at the price and think, wow, that is high. For a normal book off the press at Amazon, yes. However, Svenska Handelsbanken is top quality. The cover is laminated. The pages of the book are higher quality than the normal standard. We didn't want to just produce a book, we wanted to create a quality product that you can literally feel the difference. Best of all, great Christmas gifts. I do not charge to autograph a book. Should someone purchase the book as a gift, they tell me who they bought it for, and I autograph the book to them. A great personal touch not found in too many book sales.
We are two weeks away. As we get closer, the excitement is getting higher. Even have business cards now. I have laminated some, but My said that she likes them better without it. I must say, the extra time spent laminating them is tedious. I think My might be on to something. Lol.
For now, we are enjoying the beautiful weather and getting ready for the book signing. Can't wait. Thank you for reading. Drop me a note at info@welby909.com and let me know you read this far. Interesting to see who reads our blog. Thank You!
